You don’t need to be fluent in French to appreciate his music. I might not know entirely what he’s singing about, but I do know it has to do with the sun…high school French failed to help me on this one. Belgian-based singer/songwriter Jali intertwines the genres of folk and reggae to create a sound that embodies the essence of where he came from to where he was raised. If you like feel-good tunes, this 22 year-old’s music will be right up your alley as he delivers soulful melodies with elegance and charm. His first album Des jours et des lunes will be out in October via Barclay.
