Grizzly Bear’s Daniel Rossen is set to debut his five-track solo EP, Silent Hour/Golden Mile, on March 20th via Warp.

While the songs featured on Silent Hour/Golden Mile were originally written as demos for Grizzly BearRossen mentioned in a press release how touring can sometimes make you loose your perspective, and how this EP represents finding his way: “All the sudden, I had no idea what to do or what to make or anything. These songs were a way for me to figure that out again, getting my legs back.”

One of the great things you’ll find out about Silent Hour/Golden Mile– once you listen to “Saint Nothing,” is the raw, stripped-down feel it has. “Whenever possible, I like just keeping the very first impression of an idea the first take of something…you very rarely get to do that because the recording quality is below standard. It’s very liberating to just leave it,” added Rossen.
