Filming began in Orlando, FL on Feb. 14th for “The Renee Project,” a movie based on the life of Renee Yohe, the young woman who inspired “To Write Love On Her Arms.”

If you aren’t familiar with TWLOHA, it is an non-profit organization that focuses on bringing hope and providing help to people that struggle with depression, addiction, self-injury and suicide.

Among the talented cast on “The Renee Project” are Kat Dennings best known for “Nick and Norah’s Infinite Playlist,” Chad Michael Murray from “One Tree Hill,” and Rupert Friend, “The Young Victoria.”

Dennings will be playing a troubled young woman that has always longed for the happy ending, but becomes trapped with the day to day reality of the darker side, being consumed within self-esteem issues, substance abuse and self-injury. The film integrates artistic fantasy mixed with the ferocious truth of the demons that live in all of us.

TWLOHA has made such a positive impact that many artists and musicians have joined the movement. Among some of the musical talents that will be featured to perform on camera are Travie McCoy and singer/songwriter Rachel Yamagata.
