Beastie Boys Co-Founder, Adam Yauch Dead At 47

Beastie Boys co-founder Adam Yauch (aka MCA), has sadly passed away at the age of 47. Back in 2009 Yauch announced that he was getting treatment for a cancerous parotid gland and a lymph node; he received surgery and radiation therapy.

It is unclear yet if MCA’s death was related to his battle with cancer.

Russel Simmon’s website (GlobalGrind.com) was the first to report the news, TMZ has also shared the news, as well as Pitchfork.

Yauch is survived by his wife, and daughter.
